Going into the college application process, our son Ethan was overwhelmed, having countless questions and wondering where to begin. Our experience with John was nothing short of amazing!

Instead of the usual approach of many counselors, John actually took time to first get to know Ethan as a person, his interests, aspirations, passion, likes, dislikes and values. In the first few initial sessions, John patiently listened and helped Ethan gain clarity on his area of interest and the field of study.

Only then did John started to lean on his wealth of experience and deep knowledge of the various colleges and universities to put together a list that goes beyond the popular rankings. His intimate understanding of the schools’ values and student body helped him match them with Ethan’s aspirations, interests and the environment in which he will excel and grow.

After which John started explaining the entire process of applications to make Ethan realize the responsibilities and ownership he would have to take on. John guided Ethan through every stage from choosing the right colleges to perfecting his essays and John’s support was invaluable. He always stood by Ethan and was available to answer his questions at any given time. John’s advice and guidance with the essays were most helpful. John was always available to meet or to give us advice whenever we needed it.

We are so grateful to have worked with John and we appreciate all his time, effort and dedication in giving Ethan all the guidance and encouragement through this journey.
